I think it is pretty fucking amazing that this techno goddess came forward about her miscarriages.

Why? Because it takes courage. Because keeping a pregnancy secret “until it is safe” or suffering in silence when it unfortunately does happen is not the answer.

And I am so sorry it happened to her. To so many women. To me.

At 8 weeks. 14 weeks. 23 weeks. 39 weeks.

We are told not to tell because… why exactly?

I respect every woman’s preference to keep their pregnancies under wraps for however long they want, but losing them is not something we should silence. The babies that we lose do matter. Our pain matters. Our grief continues to live within us. And to silence and minimize this heartbreaking loss is a perpetual and vicious cycle that we need to break.
